A delegation of the Mining Commission recently undertook a working visit to Zinjin Mining in Ghana to learn best practices in modern mine operations. The visit aimed at strengthening the Commission’s understanding of efficient and responsible mining through firsthand observation and experience sharing.
During the visit, members of the delegation toured the mining site, engaged with technical experts, and observed ongoing mining activities. The engagement focused on operational efficiency, the use of modern technologies, occupational health and safety standards, environmental management, and effective mine governance systems.
The working visit reinforced the importance of hands-on learning and peer exchange in enhancing institutional capacity and supporting sustainable and responsible mining practices.
